Business is booming in Utah! We have seen more entrepreneurs and financiers in the last month than ever before. Last month Peter Jarman did an excellent job explaining how the economics of venture capital come together and ultimately hinge on the performance of the portfolio of entrepreneurs.

This month Karl Israelsen is going to help explain the terms that entrepreneurs can and will run into when raising capital. Karl is an associate at Stoel Rive’s Corporate Group, where he practices corporate and securities law. He counsels clients on business formation, venture capital and private equity, fund formation, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and public reporting. A few of his notable accounts include:

  • Omniture
  • Skullcandy
  • Linux Networx
  • Echelon Biosciences
  • Huntsman International
